Our Mission

We at the Tottenville Evangelical Free Church believe that the Bible unmistakably teaches that the passion and purpose of God is to glorify His matchless name in all the earth.  The purpose of salvation is not our own personal fulfillment but our full satisfaction and delight in the glorification of God from the heart in every area of life.
We believe that the chief purpose of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. He and He alone is to be our treasure for which we are to joyfully accept the loss of all things, reproaches and trials. The outflow of this is our longing to see all people brought to worship Him.
Therefore our mission, aim, goal, purpose, and what we live for is:

To spread a PASSION for the supremacy
and sufficiency of JESUS CHRIST
in all things for the JOY of all peoples.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a Church that is dedicated to the spreading, developing and building up of the kingdom of God in New York City and to the world.

Our Spiritual Dynamic

The word Dynamic comes from the Greek  word dunamis {doo'-nam-is} which is used in the New Testament some 115 times and is most often translated power, mighty work or strength. Our spiritual dynamic has several components to it.
We join God the Father in magnifying the supremacy of His glory through our Lord Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit by

RECEIVING all He has revealed in His word,
LOVING all people, in His name.
TREASURING Him in joyful worship,
PRAYING for all His purposes,
Upheld and empowered by ALL HIS GRACE
